He highlights these companies through food reviews, food videos/pictures, and his black restaurant directory( www.blackpeopleeats.com). His team's primary focus is on black-owned establishments only because they want to serve as a platform that gives black-owned food businesses a global voice. Once he realized how black restaurants were not promoted as much as they should be on other media platforms and he wanted to be the catalyst for change.
